Description: A cardiologists job is to diagnose, treat, and manage cardiovascular diseases and conditions of the heart and blood vessels. They perform patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and may perform interventional or surgical procedures.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
3 to 7 years’ internship and clinical residency training, specializing in cardiology.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiology and/or a sub specialty, such as cardiovascular disease, or interventional cardiology.
Exceptional attention to detail.
