Description: studies tissues, organs, cells, and genetics to diagnose disease and plan treatments. Their responsibilities include:
Examining specimens
Histopathologists examine tissue samples, usually biopsies, to detect changes that indicate the cause of a patients illness. They may also examine cells in smears, aspirates, or bodily fluids.

Requirements: A Ph.D. in medicine.
A minimum of 4 years of specialist training in histopathology.
Completion of the United States Medical Licensing exam.
Extensive knowledge of tissue sampling and analysis techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional clinical supervision skills to lead the biomedical team.
Regular presentation of tissue and cell diagnostic reports.
The ability to write lucid clinical audit reports.
