Description: Examine patients: Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal issues
Diagnose conditions: Identify the cause of a patients condition
Treat patients: Provide treatment for patients conditions
Perform surgery: Operate on patients to correct injuries or diseases
Prevent disease: Develop programs to help patients prevent disease
Promote health: Develop programs to help patients promote health
Research diseases: Study diseases to find new treatments or cures
Train staff: Teach other medical professionals how to treat musculoskeletal conditions
Record patient information: Keep accurate records of patient treatments, progress, and profiles
Refer patients: Recommend other specialists or physical therapists for patients who need additional care

Requirements: A medical degree in orthopedics and the successful completion of a fellowship and residency.
A license and certification to practice medicine.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
A good working knowledge of the methods and equipment used in orthopedics.
