- Assessing the patient and their environment
Administering procedures like CPR
Stabilizing patients for transport to the hospital if needed
Driving and staffing ambulances and other emergency vehicles
Responding to emergency calls
Making preliminary diagnoses
Providing emergency medical treatment, including administering medication, pain relief, intravenous infusions, and dressing wounds/injuries.
- Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in paramedical science.
NREMT certification and must be registered with the relevant Health Professions Council.
Proven experience as a Paramedic.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of on-site medical procedures, terminology, and medications.
Experience using medical equipment and devices.
Able to work irregular hours, including weekends and national holidays.
