- A Hearing Aid Technician, also known as a Hearing Aid Specialist or Audiology Technician, is responsible for assessing patients hearing needs, fitting and programming hearing aids based on an audiologists recommendations, providing patient education on proper use and maintenance, and performing minor repairs to ensure optimal hearing aid functionality; they work closely with audiologists to deliver comprehensive hearing healthcare services to clients.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
Certification as a Hearing Aid Technician or similar qualification.
Experience working with hearing aids and related devices.
